Exploring pivotal moments in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and turning them on their head, taking audiences into uncharted territory. Chadwick Boseman’s final Marvel project before his death. The Watcher: [Opening narration of each episode] Time. Space bar. Reality. It’s more than a linear path. It’s a prism of infinite possibilities, where a single choice can branch into infinite realities, creating alternate worlds to the ones you know. I am the Watcher. I am your guide through these vast new realities. Follow me and think about the question… „What if?“ After the Marvel logo appears, it changes to an animated form in the show’s art style. Edited to Marvel Studios: Legends: Guardians of the Multiverse (2023). A very simple episode where they rush things to fit those pieces into the puzzle. And my facial expressions were also pretty straight watching this episode because there was no thrill or even logical narration, I understand it’s a show amin aimed at kids, maybe? But only those guys who are familiar with the whole MCU by now would probably enjoy it. We’ll see how the other episodes go, but I definitely won’t be too excited about it after this one. Edit: Episode 2 gave a real feel of what the MCU is all about, it was creative and thoughtful with major WHAT IF moments. I really enjoyed seeing T’Challa back on screen. However, the third episode was a problem and forced me to edit this review. It was so emotional and thrilling to watch, I could have watched an entire movie in this episode. It explored the characters we know on a level that leaves you wanting more. I hope to get to a 10 star edit by the end of the season. Edit II: Here’s another star from me for a „weird“. 39; challenging episode though, which was by far the best of the bunch in terms of writing, voiceover, animation and story. Special mention to Benedict Cumberbatch for belting out his voice like a boss. Kudos to Marvel for making this happen. However, coming into episode 5, the episode was definitely entertaining, fun and engaging with quality animation, but again it showed too much at once without giving viewers enough time to absorb things. Another 9/10 overall for the series at least until the next two episodes. I need to complete episode 4 to get a 10 from me.
