Amidst the chaos, a former Green Beret joins boot camp; love grows, truths are revealed, and a community comes together. Most of the questions raised were just the tip of the iceberg. And why is it always the rich who prepare? It makes the rest of us feel like we have a slim chance of surviving Hawaii if we don’t know someone who is rich… or has military training. I personally know people who prepare and aren’t rich… but have good plans… No one knows how they’ll react until they get there. There was good information about food gathering and different ideas. And of course, it probably would have been better if the story wasn’t set in California. While the scenery is beautiful, the Appalachians might have been a better choice.
